Blog #11

I do not believe I have left much of a legacy here at Blue Valley. I am not in any extracurricular activities or any clubs. I came here and did my schoolwork and not much more than that. But, I do wish I would have done more with my years here in high school. I wish I had joined that one club I always wanted to join, like Psychology Club. I could never find the time to fit it into my busy schedule, but I wish I had decided to join the group. Although I cannot sing or dance, I wish I had been able to be in choir or in plays. It would have been a fun thing to do with my extra time that I had. I really admire those who were in the choir or plays/musicals here, and I know it would have been a good legacy to leave behind me. I am proud of how I spent my years here at blue valley, with only a few wishes for me to do more. But overall, I am proud that I have spent my last 4 years at this amazing school doing the things I love outside of school. It will forever be in my mind how I wish I could have done more things, but I will not let that bother me. It may even help me consider doing bigger and better things in college. Now I may be inspired to join clubs and activities in college.

I would invite Perry Smith from In Cold Blood onto my talk show if I could be a talk show host. I think Perry would be a good person to interview because he is kind of a mystery person. No one knows why he did what he did. He felt guilty about it afterward; I would like to ask him why he committed the crime when he was feeling uneasy about it to begin with? I would ask him to say what had actually happened and why he decided to do whatever Dick told him to do. It is unknown to everyone as to why Perry was so against killing the family, then proceeds to help Dick in the murders.

What are the 3 most important things you've learned in high school?

One of the most important things that I have learned throughout my high school career is to never give up. Even if you are struggling with a class or a grade you need to always keep trying to make it better. It takes hard work but you are capable of anything you put your mind to. Another thing I have learned is that this too shall pass. It seems a little cliche but it is a saying that has helped me through some difficult times in high school. It means that whatever you are going through right now will get better. You will be able to overcome any obstacle that is put in front of you. The last most important thing I've learned is that it's okay to rely on your friends and family for help. To some people, you may feel weak if you ask people to help you with something you are going through. But I've learned that it is worth it to ask for help or ask for advice. Not only is your family a big help, but friends can also help you as well.

Blog #4: TV Rescue

If I had been kidnapped and could choose the people from one show to save me, I would choose the cast from Criminal Minds. I would choose them not only because it is my favorite show, but also because they would be great in helping with my rescue. Saving people from being kidnapped, among other things, is their job everyday so they are very experienced in it. I feel as though the rescue would be successful. I anticipate that they will be able to save me and get me home alive because of how experienced they are in this field.

I imagine this to go down as any other episode of criminal minds. They get a call from Kansas about people being kidnapped, me being one of them, and they come here to investigate. Once they arrive, they will get working on finding the person who did this and hopefully finding me alive. They will investigate the scenes in which the kidnaps happened, and get as many clues from there as possible. I presume that Dr. Reid will be the one to figure out the MO of the unsub. The team will work together in order to find out who the unknown subject, in this case the kidnapper, is. In the end, they are able to find out who it was, and get me home safely.

New Year's Resolution

My most important goal/resolution is to focus more on school and work as hard as I can to achieve the goals  I want to in the future. The reason I need to reach this goal is for future school purposes. Last semester, I missed a lot of school and got really behind in all of my classes. My goal is for that not to happen. I need to stay caught up in all of my classes in order to be most successful.

Some obstacles that may stand in my way include having the same issues as last semester and having to miss a good amount of school. In order to overcome these obstacles and issues, when I do miss school I will do everything I can to get caught up right away. I won't wait until the last minute to finish the assignments that I had missed when absent.  I will measure my success with how well my grades turn out this next semester. Some benefits I could gain by achieving this goal include less stress at the end of the year, as well as good grades going into college.
